The 26th Wauchope Lasiandra Festival will take place in March this year. This community event is a celebration of the town's floral emblem - the Lasiandra.

Key events are:

The Country Fair - Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th March 2010 - from 8.30am. The Fair will include many exhibitors including alpacas, timber cutting machinery, goats, water, alternative energy and environmental products, classic vehicles and machinery and much more.

Purple People Shopping and Market Day - Thursday 18th March - 8.00am to 5.00pm. Wauchope comes alive with sidewalk specials, art & craft stalls and marvellous bargains all over town. Purple fever takes over. Come and see how the Wauchope celebrates and grab a bargain while enjoying the sights.

26th Annual Lasiandra Festival Awards - Sunday 28th. Join the festivities at 12 noon in Lasiandra Park. Prizes will be awarded for the best cared for Lasiandra tree displays and the Purple People Day Best Presented Business and Best Staff Costume awards. BBQ operated by Wauchope Rotary in conjunction with the Lasiandra Committee.
