The event calendar for the 40th ANNUAL Wauchope Lasiandra Festival has been set with a wide array of community events from Friday the 1st of March through to Saturday the 23rd of March.
Events not to be missed are the Family Fun Day at the Yippen Creek Mini Railway, the Purple Park Run at Rocks Ferry Reserve, the Purple Bike Night hosted by Motorcycle Friendly Wauchope and karaoke at Hastings Hotel.
Following on from the success of the 2023 "Royal" Exhibition, the talented artists at Wauchope Creative Hub will be staging another Purple Inspired Art Exhibition - "The Power of Purple".
On display from Monday the 4th and culminating on Saturday 16th March at the Wauchope Creative Hub Lasiandra Festival Art Exhibition Prize Ceremony.
Bago Vineyards will be presenting "Purple Wine in the Vines" on Sunday March 10 from 11.30am. All are invited to come along and enjoy a relaxed afternoon among the vines, sit back and listen to tunes of "Young Floyd".
Dress in the purple/pink theme and the best dressed Lady and Gent will take home a bottle of Bago Wine. Entry is Free.
purple people shopping & market day
Mark your calendar and join in the fun of Purple People Market Day set down for Thursday March 14. Wauchope CBD will be a hive of activity with Art and Craft market stalls dotted about the town centre, decorated shop fronts and premises displays and sidewalk specials from participating shops.
If you would like to book a market stall or have a stall outside your shop premises on the sidewalk please note these must be booked in advance via this link.
Dress in your purple best and join in the fun. We can’t wait to see the colourful costumes! Judges will be out and about from 11.30am on the day.
New events on the festival calendar include the Lasiandra Festival Kids Art Show at Wauchope Art Gallery, Wauchope Tennis Club's Purple Pickle Ball Competition and the Lasiandra Luncheon and Festival Awards at Wauchope RSL Club.
